Main hall and bar area

At the Alice Cross we have a variety of rooms and hall available for hire. We are a licensed premises with bar facilities which makes us ideal for functions!

MAIN HALL

The hall is approached across a small six space car park, There are an additional 4 council owned disabled spaces for the sole use of the Centre at the rear of the building. A small lobby gives access to toilets and other rooms.

The hall measures approximately 23 ft by 41 ft. It has a wooden dance floor measuring approximately 4 metres by 7.5 metres with a carpet surround.  The standard equipment comprises of 50 upholstered dining chairs and tables seating up to 10 persons each, and 6 tables seating up to 6 persons each depending on layout. A considerable amount of extra furniture is available within the building. The other equipment consists of a music centre, a piano and an electronic organ and by special arrangement a video playing machine with no TV reception is available.

Adjacent to the hall is a large, well equipped kitchen which offers basic tea/coffee making facilities as standard with full scale catering equipment available by special arrangement.

The hall is in use every weekday morning up to about 2pm, it is also booked for use at other times so please bear this in mind when enquiring about booking.

Hire of the Hall is £11 per hour, with Saturday night £50, and the use of the kitchen has an extra charge.

ROOM 1

Available as a Treatment & Therapy Room . with a Chiropody Chair & a sink. £5 per hour.

ROOM 2 MEETING ROOM on the GROUND FLOOR

This can be used as an activity or surgery room available daytime & evenings.  The ground floor room is of irregular shape measuring approximately 270 sq feet.  There is a small kitchen adjacent with basic coffee/tea making equipment, plus toilets close by. The standard furnishings consist of two 6ft tables and about 20 chairs, other furniture is available by special arrangement. Also in this room is video playing equipment but with no TV reception.

Hire cost: £8.50 per hour.

MEETING ROOM ON FIRST FLOOR

An upstairs room measuring approximately 120sq foot with a small kitchen offering tea making equipment and a microwave oven close by. A toilet is adjacent to the room. This room is currently unfurnished but can be arranged with whatever chairs & tabling you require provided notice is given.

MARQUEE HIRE and FURNITURE HIRE

We have a small 8 metre by 4 metre Marquee which we hire out under certain conditions. It is an ideal size for garden parties and special events. Our hire service includes delivery, erection and dismantling, but is dependant on availability of the erection team.  Also available are folding tables, 6ft by 3ft and a limited number of folding chairs.

CATERING EQUIPMENT

Two double commercial style gas cookers and ovens, dishwashing facilities, two microwave ovens, a Salamander Grill and double deep fryer together with a full range of crockery and cutlery, wine glasses and tumblers are available. Please check what equipment is available when booking.
