We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Teign Sea Shanty Festival for selecting us as one of their chosen charities, alongside the RNLI, Rowcroft Hospice and Teign Heritage.
We would also like to congratulate everyone involved in the running of the festival, making it a bigger success than last years already successful festival.
This week we were delighted to be presented with a giant cheque for £500. The Cheque was presented to centre manager Julia, by Ian Mitchell, Steve Collings, Gillian Collings, Bob Freshwater, and Kevin Booker.
This money will help us towards with our mission to improve the health and well being of the community, and making later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
Next years Sea Shanty Festival will take place on the 26th and 27th of September 2020. It will feature 27 Sea Shanty singing groups, including Teignmouth’s very own “Back Beach Boyz” as well as “The Longest Johns” who recently featured on Gareth Malone’s BBC show “The Choir”.
