‘Bee’ing Bloomin’ Marvellous!

St Michael’s church was buzzing during their annual flower festival, held last week!

The Alice Cross Centre were thrilled to be involved again this year, it’s always one of our favourite summer activities.  Our amazing creative volunteer team but together a floral spectacular, creating a Buzz about our work in the community.  The theme for the festival this year was ‘A celebration of Crafts’.  The Alice Cross combined our love of crafts with our love of Bees and came up with a truly glorious creative entry.

All of the flowers and materials used in our display had been foraged and salvaged by our volunteers.  Charlotte made an incredible Bee Skep out of Buff Willow woven together with foraged fibres, including Bramble, Ivy. Nettle, Hazel, Horse Chestnut and Dogwood.
