Scam Alert
Many of you may have received a text message that looks like the one below.
It pretends to be from the Government, and asks people to click a link to apply for energy bill support.
Do not click on the link and do not give your bank details, passwords or personal details out!
The £400 rebate is being paid to people automatically – you do not need to apply – so any text like this is a scam.
These scams are getting very sophisticated and it’s very easy to fall prey to these scammers.
