Born in Switzerland, Gustav Kuhn discovered his passion for magic at just 13 years old. What began as teenage fascination soon became a serious pursuit, with Gustav dedicating himself to mastering illusion, misdirection, and the art of deception.
Blending performance with science, Gustav went on to pioneer an entirely new discipline: the Science of Magic – a field exploring how illusion reveals the inner workings of perception, attention, and belief. His groundbreaking work earned him a prestigious Wolfson Research Fellowship at the University of Durham, where he further developed this emerging area of study.
As the founding member and president of the Science of Magic Association, and the author of two acclaimed books on the psychology of magic, Gustav Kuhn is internationally recognised as a leading authority in his field. A captivating performer and sought-after keynote speaker, he brings audiences on a journey into the fascinating intersection of magic and the mind.
