On Saturday, 15th November, The Alice Cross Centre was absolutely buzzing as we held our annual Christmas Fayre — and what a fantastic day it was! From the moment the doors opened, the centre was filled with festive cheer, friendly faces, and a wonderful sense of community spirit.
Creative Stalls & Festive Shopping
This year’s stallholders truly outdid themselves. We were delighted to host an array of talented local crafters selling exquisite handmade gifts, decorations, and Christmas treats. The creativity and care that went into every item were clear to see, and many visitors left with some truly special finds for the festive season.
We were also thrilled to welcome our friends from Volunteering in Health and Assist Teignbridge. It’s always lovely to come together with partners from across the local charity sector, and it added something extra special to the day.

Delicious Food All Day Long
No Alice Cross event is complete without great food, and our café team delivered!
In the morning, visitors enjoyed our ever-popular breakfast baps, which went down a storm. Later, we served turkey and stuffing baps—a perfect taste of Christmas. And of course, our table of cakes was extremely popular, with a huge selection enjoyed throughout the day.

Live Music & Festive Cheer
A huge thank you to the fabulous Hooligans Rule for bringing fantastic live music to the Fayre, lifting spirits and adding to the festive atmosphere. We were also treated to a lovely performance from Katie Russell, whose song brought smiles all round.

Christmas Raffle Launched
We were excited to launch our Christmas Raffle, and ticket sales are already underway! Tickets are just £1 each, and we have an incredible line-up of prizes donated by generous local businesses and our wonderful volunteers.

A Day to Remember
The whole day was filled with warmth, laughter, and community spirit. It really set the tone for the festive season ahead, and we’re so grateful to everyone who came along, volunteered, performed, or helped behind the scenes.
Our Co-op Partnership
We’re also delighted to highlight our ongoing partnership with the Co-op. As one of their chosen community causes, we receive vital support through the Co-op Local Community Fund. If you’re a Co-op member, you can help us continue providing essential services simply by selecting The Alice Cross Centre as your chosen cause. Just log in to the Co-op Members website, choose our centre under the ‘Local Causes’ section, and a portion of what you spend on selected Co-op products will directly support our work. Community Breakfast Club Success
We were thrilled by the fantastic return of our Community Breakfast Club on Saturday 22nd November. Despite the wet and gloomy weather, around 50 people joined us at the centre to enjoy delicious breakfasts and warm company. The atmosphere was wonderful, with plenty of chatter, full plates, and even a couple of tabletop sales running in the background. It was amazing to see the centre packed with support from the community—and especially lovely to welcome so many new faces! If you missed it, don’t worry—our next breakfast club is on the 29th of November from 9am, with last orders at 11:30am. Choose from a small or veggie breakfast for just £2, a large breakfast for £3, or a breakfast bap for only £1—all prices include tea, coffee, or fruit juice!
