
Andy Longford – Chairperson
Married with two grown up children, Andy Longford is founder and managing Partner of technical consulting company PandA Europe, set up in 1998 to support microelectronic packaging and assembly. He has been working in the Semiconductor Packaging and Assembly industry for over 30 years. He has served on a number of EU and UK Government technical committees and he is currently the secretary of the Semiconductor Industry supported charitable organisation IMAPS-UK. Outside the work environment, Andy is chair of the Board of Trustees of the Alice Cross centre in his home town of Teignmouth and also acts as a volunteer for the charity. His hobby interest is music, he is a member of the “Teignmouth Sings” choir and a guitarist in the eight-piece Teigns band.

Deborah Minett
I have been a trustee for nearly 7 years. I am a solicitor advocate working in criminal justice. I am comfortable advocating for the centre and have experience in people, budget and project management. I have good people skills. I work from home and live very locally to the centre. I volunteer at the centre and at events and have represented the centre at external events.

Paul Howard
Paul brings adaptability, practicality, and strong communication skills to the board, drawing on a background in sales that helps him connect with people from all walks of life. His involvement with the charity began through volunteering — delivering meals and helping to serve Christmas Day lunches. In 2024, during a challenging period for the charity, Paul led a fundraising team that successfully engaged local businesses and media to raise vital support. Paul’s empathy and compassion are shaped by personal family experiences that mirror many of the challenges faced by the charity’s service users. Paul has been happily married to his partner Darren, one of the charity’s meal delivery volunteers, for nine years and they live locally.

Sue Halfyard
Sue is a highly experienced probate lawyer and Chartered Legal Executive, specialising in probate and estate administration, later life planning, and wealth management. She works closely with individuals and families to make the practicalities of dealing with an estate as simple and efficient as possible, whether the circumstances are straightforward or complex, and whether assets are based in the UK or overseas. Her approachable and pragmatic style has made her a trusted advisor to generations of clients, offering guidance on wills, powers of attorney, and a wide range of legal documents. As a trustee, Sue brings valuable legal expertise to the board, particularly in matters relating to wills and estate planning. She is passionate about supporting the local community and is proud to contribute her skills to help the charity deliver services that make a real difference such as a will writing service. Sue finds it especially rewarding to see the positive impact on service users and takes pride in the dedication of the staff and volunteers who make it all possible.

Sarah Holloway
Sarah Holloway joined the Board of Trustees in late 2023. She retired to Teignmouth after a career as a Public Finance Accountant working with the UK government and then as an international development consultant working for government development partners, international agencies and banks, and the United Nations in over 40 countries. Her work experience included financial management, auditing and accountability, policy development, strategy development and planning, performance management, and human resource development. As well as participating in general Trustee activities and being an active volunteer, she has also led the development of an annual Governance Calendar, a Medium-Term Planning process, supported the introduction of results and performance -based management to the Centre. She has also worked with the General Manager to update and integrate all the operational policies and procedures for the Centre.

Vivian Love – Treasurer
Viv is the most recent trustee to come aboard having joined the Board of Trustees in 2025 as Treasurer, bringing over 20 years’ experience in finance. Her career has spanned practice and industry, including roles with charities, housing associations, and SMEs, across sectors such as care, social housing, and higher education. This breadth of experience, combined with previous trustee roles, gives Viv a strong foundation in financial management and governance. Originally from South Devon, Viv now lives in Exeter with her children and dog.
