Last week we celebrated Big Green Week with several events around the town. Our thanks to all of those who volunteered for the events and of course to everyone who came along. We held an additional litter pick, and Neil Howell led two fascinating walks. Teignmouth in Verse focussed on poetry by celebrated poets including John Keats, Charles, strolling from the Point to Sprey Point enjoying the inspiration coastal views. We also a fascinating guided walk around the 12 acres of Teignmouth Old Cemetery. Learning about the creation of public green spaces and the history of this peaceful refuge. Neil reflected on the stories of some of the remarkable Teignmouth residents buried there, their is so much fascinating history still to being uncovered.
