A huge thank you to the fantastic Teignmouth Drifters Walking Football Team, who have raised an incredible £258 for The Alice Cross Centre!
The team raised the money through their fundraising quiz, and we are absolutely delighted that they chose to support our charity.
It’s wonderful to see local groups coming together, having fun and making a real difference in their community. The generosity and community spirit shown by the Teignmouth Drifters is exactly what makes Teignmouth such a special place to live.
Supporting Our £10,000 Furniture Fund
The £258 donation will go directly towards our Furniture Fund, which has a fundraising target of £10,000.
Our much-loved community centre welcomes hundreds of people through its doors every week for lunches, activities, social groups, exercise classes, support services and community events.
Unfortunately, our existing tables and chairs have seen better days! Many are old, heavy, difficult to move and increasingly in need of repair or replacement.
We’re raising £10,000 to purchase new, lightweight, durable and comfortable tables and chairs that will make our Centre safer, more accessible and more welcoming for everyone.
New furniture will make a real difference, particularly for our older visitors, volunteers and staff, helping us create flexible, comfortable spaces for the many activities that take place here.

As a local charity, we rely on the generosity of our community to help us maintain and improve the Centre for everyone who uses it.
Donations like this bring us another step closer to our £10,000 target and help ensure The Alice Cross Centre remains a welcoming place where people can connect, make friends, stay active and feel part of their community.
