We’re Celebrating! £2,322 for The Alice Cross Centre Thanks to Co-op Members!

A huge thank you to Co-op and its wonderful members for helping us bring people together, one breakfast at a time!

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that The Alice Cross Centre has received a fantastic £2,322 through the Co-op Local Community Fund thanks to the generosity and support of Co-op members throughout the year!

And we couldn’t be happier about what this funding will help us achieve which is bringing back our much-loved Breakfast Café!

Bringing Back Breakfast, Friendship and Community

There’s something rather special about sitting down together over a good breakfast, a hot cup of tea and a friendly chat with our brilliant volunteers and visitors.

At The Alice we know that food is about so much more than the bacon and eggs on your plate. It’s about forging friendships, laughter, community connection and having somewhere you feel you belong and know you will be welcomed at.

Our Breakfast Café has always been a lovely opportunity for people to come together, catch up with old friends, make new ones and start their day with a smile. From Park-runners to local families, elderly neighbours to sea swimmers, our breakfast café is for everyone!

Thanks to this wonderful funding we can work towards bringing it back and welcoming people around the breakfast table once again!

For some people, a visit to the Alice Breakfast café is a chance to enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast. For others it might be their only opportunity to socialise that week. Whatever brings people through our doors we want everyone to leave feeling a little happier and a lot more connected.

Small Acts of Kindness Make a Big Difference

The Co-op Local Community Fund supports local causes that make a positive difference in their communities.

That’s exactly what we strive to do at The Alice Cross Centre every single day.

Through our meals, activities, wellbeing programmes and support groups, we help people stay active, make friends, feel less isolated and enjoy being part of their community.

This funding is particularly special because it comes from the support of local Co-op members who have chosen to make a difference right here in their community.

As a small charity, we rely on support like this to continue making a real difference in our community, and every contribution truly matters.
