Alice Cross Presentation at THC (Museum)

Alice Cross talk at the Teign Heritage Centre

On Saturday 31st May it was standing room only at Teign Heritage – Teignmouth & Shaldon Museum, Will and Peta delivered a fascinating and deeply emotional talk about our incredible founder, Alice Cross BEM. Her legacy continues to inspire staff and volunteers every day.

We worked in partnership with the Teign Heritage Centre to produce our month long display about our founder, culminating in our presentation about her achievements on Saturday morning. Our thank to the museum for their support.

We would like to think that Alice Cross (who passed away 30 years ago this month), would be proud of the thriving centre we have today. The talk also included an audio clip of Alice herself talking about the centre over 50 years ago.

Below are a couple of photo’s from the event, we have since received some lovely feedback, including from previous manager and local historian and writer Viv Wilson MBE.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend – whether at the market or the heritage centre. Here’s to many more weekends connecting with our amazing community.
